Bouyancy
Sink v.s Float
Table 3 period 7
This unit was focused on three elements. One being how to determine an objects density, mass, and or volume. To determine this one uses one of three problems. D=m*v, V=m/d, and M=D*V to use these simply plug in your known data and solve for the missing variable. After we learned how to do this we were taught how to measure an objects bouyant force. You place the object in a cylinder filled with water. Then catch the over flow or "water displacement" and weigh it. This determins if an object will sink or float. If an objects bouyant force is more then its weight it will float, and if its bouyant force is less then its weight it will sink.
